Jeffrey J. Moyle

Jeff has extensive experience representing both employers and employees in all aspects of employment litigation, including investigation, discovery, motions practice, dispositive motions, settlement, trial preparation, and trial. Jeff also represents employers before state and federal administrative agencies, and has substantial experience representing employers in traditional labor matters, including labor arbitrations, unfair labor practice charges, and collective bargaining.

In addition to Jeff’s practice defending employers against discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, Americans with Disabilities Act, and Family and Medical Leave Act claims, Jeff has developed particular expertise litigating wage and hour class and collective actions. Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, Jeff was an attorney in a law firm that specialized in wage and hour litigation, and has appeared in more than 100 wage and hour matters across the country.

Besides his employment litigation practice, Jeff also draws on his previous experience as a Human Resources professional to counsel employers in all aspects of the employment relationship, offering legal advice as well as practical solutions for issues that arise in the workplace.

Jeff received his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, magna cum laude, and was elected to the Order of the Coif. During law school, Jeff was a senior editor for the Case Western Reserve Law Review, and also served as a judicial extern for Judge Dan Aaron Polster of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. He also received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for receiving the highest grade in Administrative Law, Constitutional Law, Employment Discrimination, Employment Law, and Legal Writing.
